Busy Island Gamelan aka "The Victoria B.I.G. Band" is Vancouver Island's first gamelan orchestra. Formed in 2009 by renowned gamelan master Sutrisno Hartana, the band debuted at the memorable Luminara Festival. Those interested in joining can do so by contacting Sutrisno at uvic dot ca.
